So this is what we pay those exorbitant real estate taxes for…..are you kidding me?

New York has the highest taxes in all of the USA, and yet our Sanitation Department cannot pick up the trash TEN DAYS after the big snowstorm? This is an atrocity, that requires the very highest authority’s intervention. We, the taxpayers of New York, DEMAND an explanation. The above picture was taken to-day on a Chelsea side street in front of a building that pays over one hundred thousand dollars in real estate taxes EVERY MONTH. After the recent outrage in Naples, Italy that is experiencing a similar garbage problem, maybe New Yorkers need to look in their own back yard.

An explanation and a tax refund would be more appropriate…..and an apology. This time, all those responsible had better be held accountable. Maybe the time has arrived to fully privatize garbage collection and automate it more to eliminate the gross negligence and/or abuse we are currently being subjected to.
