Posted by Leonard Steinberg on May 19th, 2014 Last night’s BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS ‘performance’ by Michael Jackson highlighted the unreality of our world. There was Michael Jackson performing for the world through high technology. Amazing. Obviously it was a holographic image but it was eerily real. And yet it was not real. It was about as real as the trash we have to see on TV posing as real all the time. In real estate world, many hard working, honest brokers are tormented by the media’s depiction of real estate brokers in the images broadcast on Trash TV ….of lying, circus-clown-like, informally scripted, Jerry-Springer-style buffoons for whom deals are struck at lunch tables, on speaker-phones, and with incredible ease and speed. That reality is of course about as real as Michael Jackson being back from the dead.
